Hi! I'm Lisa.  I created The Fasting Way, based on Scripture, and designed it to help you confidently grow in your faith - through fasting!

I'm so honored just to be here with you and to help guide you so you can see the path.


We are all just so darn - BUSY! And since fasting has been a power tool in my tool box now for years for healing and for my walk with the Lord, I created this experience to walk along side you and help you leverage this amazing tool as well!

As I proceed in my studies for a PhD in Natural Medicine, I decided I had to be obedient to God's calling and share all He has helped me learn through fasting.  I want to help Christian women deepen their faith, clear the clutter and noise, and find that space they long for where they can really commune with Jesus Christ our Savior, and our incredible, indescribable Creator God. 

So, to make this process super simple, I have designed this experience with very clear and specific, step by step instruction to help you learn about the powerful tool of fasting, but more importantly, to know HOW to fast with confidence so you can deepen your relationship with Jesus and discern God’s will more clearly for your life.

By entering into this beautiful community of Godly women, we can put our faith into action, support each other together with a clear path, stepping each day with confidence as we seek alignment with God and His plan.

Through this clear step-by-step roadmap, equipped with scripture-based resources, and a supportive Christ-centered community, you will learn how to start, conduct, and break a fast safely and faithfully. The result you can expect is peace of mind, confidence to fast whenever God invites you to do so, and the empowerment to grow a stronger relationship with Him — with ears to hear His voice, eyes to see His guidance, and a heart softened for His power to work in and through you.  I can't wait to meet you!!

I'm Lisa Roers

After nearly a decade of learning about and experimenting with fasting, I’ve come to appreciate something much deeper than weight loss, physical change, or discipline. Fasting has become one of the most meaningful tools in my toolbox, helping me quiet my life and draw closer to God. What started as a personal pathway I explored out of desperation to heal has become a gift for growing my faith. It has become a way to listen more attentively, calm the noise of life, release distractions, and realign my heart with His.

Along the way, I’ve explored the five types of fasting both practically and prayerfully, using fasting as a tool for healing, discernment, and spiritual growth. My studies as a candidate for a PhD in Natural Medicine continue to amaze me as I learn more about the body’s capacity to heal, and fasting can be an important part of that journey. But my greatest passion is helping others experience fasting as a way to quiet their minds and lean into their Creator, without pressure or deprivation. I see fasting as a welcoming invitation to pause, listen, and deepen our relationship with God. I believe that when fasting is approached with wisdom and grace, it can gently transform how we listen, trust, and walk with Him. It has the power to calm our minds, our bodies, and our spirits, and I love helping others discover just how beautiful and adaptable this practice can be.
